Moon Notes Instagram

In dialogue with the community

With titles in the romance, romantasy and suspense genres, the Oetinger publishing group has launched Moon Notes, a new paperback label. The new label is aimed primarily at the 16+ target group.

Objective

Establish the young paperback label on the market. The focus is always on a close and open exchange with the target group at eye level. Readers are to be able to share their opinions about the books, learn insights from the publishing house, but also actively participate – e.g. via cover votings or surveys.

Task

Develop a fitting Instagram strategy for Moon Notes – in terms of content, design, tone, hashtags or opportunities for interaction. Set up the channel, ongoing creation of editorial plan, posts, stories and reels. Manage a growing and dedicated community.

Result

The Instagram account was launched just in time for the label's launch. After only four weeks, the 1,000 follower mark was broken – and the numbers continue to rise organically. The exchange is lively and committed with an interaction rate of about 20 percent. The feedback from Moon Notes and the community is positive all around.
